JeeeZ... soo I went to sleep at 2.30AM..yes 2.30AM on friday.. I was tryin to sleep by midnight..on thursday..but there was way too much work to do...
I woke up today at 6.30am...doing the math..thats 4 FreakN hours of sleep..and what am I doing this weekend??? goin to Wegas baby Wegas! So now I have to figure out a way for me to get some rest before tonight..cuz..i won't really be sleeping..until monday night.. [sheet]!

Unfortunately too tired to put something deep and thought provoking.

First off...lets yell a big 'OUCH!'.. I'm sooo damn sore from yesterday B2B experience! It was a fun and amazing jog..but my legs..are completely sore..the ankles..to the shins..to the thiegh's....arrr...
I'm still waiting for my carry-on luggage to come in! I checked in bags..and of course..i came to SFO..late for checking in bags..the manager had to give me the lil story..about how if you check in late bags..they're not responsible..for it to get there on time..
the cabby came..this time he wasn't soo late..but i guess 5AM on monday morning..is still a bit too late to go the airport..if you're checking in bags..hopefully the new luggage comes in next week!

So.. I currently have two options within the next 2 years. Either become entrepreneurial OR get an MBA from a top 10 school
BusinessWeek just release an article..stating that MBA applicants were at a low! MBA's are becoming commodities... ie: everyone is getting one. The article basically says that work experience will benefit you more (within the same industry) than an MBA. Man I guess the startup path is the only way!!!!

Man..monday's are terrible. I had to wake up at 4AM today (Bay area) and get ready for the week. I have a flight that goes to denver @6am..so I leave my house at 5AM. I still check-in my bags, as I don't know how people can fit a weeks worth of stuff in a carry-on [but alas I don't care, because after this experience, I ordered a carry-on bag and shall be using that, NO more checking bags in] My yellow cab is late by 20 minutes. I must now go on a tangent. Sure yellow cabs are cheaper than getting picked up by a formal service. BUT they drive LIKE MAD-MEN! Simple ridiculous, they're just flat out wreckless drivers and everytime I use them..I'm like why? I don't wanna get into an accident early! eesh! At any rate..they're late..and then I get to the airport late. The lady looks at me...as I check-in using the automated Kiosk. The kiosk tells me, you are too late to check in luggage (you gotta be there 45 minutes before). The lady then looks at me and is like, we can try, I have to sign this lame documentation saying that the airlines don't guarantee my bags on the other side..i'm like thats just great!

Sooo...the pressure is definitely 'WAY UP' for my current project. I gotta pretty big deliverable tomorrow..and of course...I finally get reviewed..the day before it's due...not incrementally....BUT THE DAY BEFORE..because..my manager..assumed i already knew how to do it... why? even though I voiced that I haven't done this type of work before? ahh yes..the life of consulting..and quick ramp-ups..where money..is a ratio of time verses delivering... which adversely affects..people's learning curves... soo since this is my first business process assignment..there's bound to be a few hiccups..but what makes it worse..is that i'm learning business processes..for a business that's still being defined/created! So I'm learning two huge chunks of processes...in parallel..which leads to so much frustration! and of course mixed with the idealogy of self-learning...

MAN! Currently on my client engagement, I have to create two models. One is of their existing work-flow and the other is of their 'To-Be' flow. I am looking at the steps required to take a movie playing in the theater..and then being able to deliver it to PPV or via the Internet.

Essentially involves: Acquisiton, Legal, Buying, Scheduling, Programming, Encoding, Media Management, Media Delivery. Financial Reconciliation!

Whew! At any rate..since this is leveraging fairly new technologies and therefore new processes....alot of this stuff has to be created from scratch...so there goes my walk in the PARK!

so today marked a new today..otikila decided to leave the idu/server group..and move on over to the dark side...perhaps he will someday venture back into the land..
