Empire movie mag has compiled a list of what it considers to be the "50 Greatest Independent Films." The top ten includes Mean Streets, Sideways, The Usual Suspects, Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Night of the Living Dead, Monty Python's Life of Brian, Clerks, The Terminator, Donnie Darko, and Reservoir Dogs. It was a clumsy dismount," says Dave Chappelle. For the past couple of weeks, everybody has been looking for Chappelle. Turns out, all this time Chappelle has been looking for himself too. He is without a doubt the hottest, edgiest and most talked-about comedian today. But on April 28, he walked away from his highly rated sketch-comedy series, Chappelle's Show, and vanished into speculation, rumor and the whispers of unnamed sources. His agent, his publicist, even his writing partner didn't know where he had gone. Comedy Central had to put on hold a show that was scheduled to begin its third season at the end of this month, a show that ranks as its most buzzed-about offering, a show that had been put together in a deal worth $50 million. Chappelle, however, who had fled to Durban, South Africa, on what he describes as a "spiritual retreat," was eager to portray the sanity of his decision when he spoke to TIME exclusively last week.

There's a workprint of Star Wars Episode III on the Internet already. It's got some timecode and watermarks, but judging from the 19 second XVID sample that Waxy has posted, it seems like it's eminently watchable.
The studios don't have a problem with downloading. There's plenty of downloading, but there's no problem. But even if there is a problem, none of the costly measures the studios have asked for will solve it.

FORT PAYNE, Ala. -- After 15 years of being known as the city that created the world's largest birthday cake, Fort Payne may have to forfeit that title.

Las Vegas created its own giant cake last weekend in celebration of the city's 100th birthday. The cake, assembled by 600 volunteers, weighed 130,000 pounds and measured 102 feet long, 52 feet wide and 20 inches high.

Organizers said they expected Guinness Book of Records officials to confirm their cake as the world's largest within weeks.

Fort Payne has held the title since 1989, when it created a 128,238-pound cake in the shape of Alabama to commemmorate the city's 100th birthday. Residents worked with a local bakery, now closed, to build the enormous cake.

It's Sunday morning..my friend otik gets to my house around 7.30AM..on a sunday morning (which is DAMN early!) We have to pick up another friend..named Matt.... Otik's wife is drivin us to the drop off location (Howard | Embarcadero) as we drive to Matt's house....I wasn't paying attention to where we were driving..and of course..we end up in the wrong spot..this is what happens when it's a sunday morning and vishal didn't get good rest..
We get to the location..and there's SOOO many people..they expect 80,000 people! There's the annual throwing of the tortilla's to symbolize the beginning of the race..I asked some people abour why tortillas..but they didn't care..they were just throwing them all over the place..Everyone walks for the first .5 a mile..since there's soooo many people..it's impossible to jog!

I'm like WTF! I personally think he doesn't deserve that award...let alone any... But alas.. I'll leave that one to 'stupidity'.
