Solving the EVIL java SSL issue
Submitted by vishal on Mon, 12/17/2007 - 19:05. Same 'ol | Website | Work At-SiteTesting web applications in developmental environments that attempt to utilize Https through unsigned certificates can be challenging, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of working with Sun’s keytool utility and X.509 security certificates.
This issue manifests itself as javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeExceptions and sun.security.validator.ValidatorExceptions. For example, attempting to access untrusted Https through Java may yield stack traces with these tidbits:
Javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException:
PKIX path building failed:
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException:

Day 0 - In the Airplane from SFO -> Frankfurt, ramblings of a man..
Submitted by vishal on Sun, 04/08/2007 - 20:08. Tired | Travel | Work At-SiteHolla-
lets sync up with where I left out:
For those that don’t know, I am currently in schedule to be in Mumbai: 4/8-4/27 for work (If you want anything, let me know! I have already printed out a list of peoples’ bio-data)
I boarded the flight from sfo to frankfurt at 1.55pm.. Everything was fine and dandy.. until of course I sit down.. I sit next to a heavy-set individual that we will call MOTOOO.. which makes moving around very uncomfortable.. I’m pretty much playing fencing every couple of minutes with my elbow against his.... and of course..every now and then.. I slip and find myself crammed against the wall of the plane.. window seats!
A brief summary of 99% of the people you will ever meet in college
Submitted by vishal on Wed, 12/13/2006 - 19:39. Culture | Same 'ol | Work At-SiteIntellectual Superhero
Intellectual Superhero is neither an intellectual nor a superhero, but don’t tell him that! The Intellectual Superhero is easily identified by his complete inability to allow a class period to pass by without asking at least 654 questions designed to show how "witty" and "clever" he is. He will attempt to prove the professor wrong in every class with his inane bullshit, regardless of the fact that the professor has a doctorate in the field. If it’s a science course, the Intellectual Superhero will attempt to solve every problem using an alternate method, which is always incorrect. But don’t worry; he’ll still manage to waste 20 minutes of your life with his insane method of solving the problem. At least you’ll get to laugh at him when the professor proves him wrong.

Submitted by vishal on Tue, 05/03/2005 - 23:08. Furious | Work | Work At-SiteSooo...the pressure is definitely 'WAY UP' for my current project. I gotta pretty big deliverable tomorrow..and of course...I finally get reviewed..the day before it's due...not incrementally....BUT THE DAY BEFORE..because..my manager..assumed i already knew how to do it... why? even though I voiced that I haven't done this type of work before? ahh yes..the life of consulting..and quick ramp-ups..where money..is a ratio of time verses delivering... which adversely affects..people's learning curves... soo since this is my first business process assignment..there's bound to be a few hiccups..but what makes it worse..is that i'm learning business processes..for a business that's still being defined/created! So I'm learning two huge chunks of processes...in parallel..which leads to so much frustration! and of course mixed with the idealogy of self-learning...
